Fascinated by the relationship between creative process and transient beauty, Painting provides me with the opportunity to explore connection to Source.

ARTIST STATEMENT "The inspiration to paint came years ago while grieving the death of a close friend. Although I had taken a few art classes in college, I had never painted before and was a bit surprised by my compelling desire to do so.
“Painting continues to offer me balance and relief. It allows me to accept and resolve things that seem chaotic and imperfect. It helps me find an authentic purpose, a harmonious arrangement to it all.
“The driving force behind my work these days is our spiritual reconnection with Mother Nature and Her gifts.”
- filling my day with delight, wonder, curiosity, and joy -
Painting McCartney has given me the opportunity to delve deeply into Paul McCartney's catalogue of music through sketches and paintings, filling my days with delight, wonder, curiosity, and joy. This has also inspired me to take an even more extensive look at each of the albums and to additionally create a much larger and more comprehensive painting to reflect the album as a whole.

Creating a painterly narrative of Paul McCartney's music catalog since 1970 is an ambitious undertaking to be sure, and one that continues to fill my days with immense delight, wonder, curiosity, and joy. Delving deep into McCartney's body of work through both pencil sketches and paint studies, doing one of each for each song. These 500+ sketches and then 500+ studies of exploratory research have created a momentum that has inspired me to take a more comprehensive look at each album. This in turn has given birth to a desire to also represent each album with its own much larger painting. This project is most definitely a work in progress. In the meantime, here are several sketchbooks to enjoy!

I have delved deep into McCartney's body of work through both pencil sketches and full paint studies, doing one of each for each song. These 500+ sketches and then 500+ studies of exploratory research have created a momentum that has inspired me to take a more comprehensive look at each album. This in turn has given birth to a desire to also represent each album with its own much larger painting. This project is most definitely a work in progress.
